2011 JCW Mini Hardtop (Still Working Out the Relationship, No Name)

Years Owned:
6 months

Modifications (i.e.interior/exterior, engine, chassis):
Did suspension, rear sway, adjustable lower rear control arms (camber adjustment), decent tires (after sacrificing the all season to jack ass cornering), and seat belt “locker” to stop bruising my knee from bracing against the door.

 

 

How long have you been racing, and what types of racing do you do?
Two autocross, Ryan set up the cones and I got lost half the time….

Editors comment: Hey now…! Practice up boy! This is the big (medium) leagues! Starting at the end of the year is difficult for anyone, no matter where you go.

How did you get into autocross?
Wanted to learn how to walk before I fly (small springy car, low power, etc.)

How do you get focused before/during an event?
Drink low caffeine tea and focus.

What future plans do you have for your racing career (new car, new mods, new types of racing, etc.)?
See how the year goes and if the Mini gremlins leave me alone or come out to play. Possible move into 3 series BMW if I can fit in one 6″7″, which is why I am in a Mini in the first place (I fit).

 

 

Outside of racing:

Where are you from, and how did you end up in Oregon/Washington?
Sort of all over and have been here for the last 12 years.

Do you have a favorite hobby outside of racing?
Taking on too large car projects and laying awake at night wondering if I have just toasted my little engine.

What is/are your favorite food(s)?
Japanese

The favorite car that you have owned?
Chevy Malibu Classic (so weak I didn’t crash as a stupid ass teen driver).

Your dream car(s)?
Nothing super, something in the 300 hp range and goes fast around corners and I fit in. It’s more about the driving experience than the looks for me.

 

 

Meaning of life:

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be, and why?
Giraffe, so I could step on things that annoyed me.

What was the best thing before sliced bread?
Real shade tree mechanics.

Don’t think it is there anymore but probably a Cher track from years ago.
